A woman I work with her nephew is one of the guys at Vanilla or something. She casually went one day "my nephew makes bikes" and then she linked me to the vanilla website.

I'm not sure about the racks origins, I just ran across this pic on http://mudandcowbells.blogspot.com/ and thought it badass. I did install a small hitch rack to a goldwing about a month ago but it wasn't nearly as cool as this.

On the above bike, what the purpose of the false seat tube stump above the bottom bracket? I want to say it's meant for a front derailleur but it's the wrong size and shape in addition to being unnecessarily tall.
