Picked up a seltzer siphon since we were tired of having flat seltzer with our old bottle with no dispenser. The seltzer itself isn't as sharp, but it's a lot more convenient. Gonna try making some shrubs for mixer or soft beverage use.

Grapefruit Pepsi Bubly shit tastes like someone opened a can of Pamplemousse La Croix and left it in the sun all day, then poured some out in the yard and refilled the rest of the can with a garden hose.

We've been getting the 24 pack of lc at costco for $6.50 lately. However, this limits you on flavors. 6 pamplemousse, 12 lime, and 6 lemon. At the vons up the street, they have generic for three or sometimes four 12 packs of not terrible flavors for $10.

The Target brand cucumber mint is pretty good if you like cucumber mint.

Why is it that orange is good but tangerine is terrible?

Pookie has been going to Whole Foods recently for some reason. We don't normally frequent the place. Anyway, she picked up their house brand grapefruit and it was pretty good. Not Pamplemousse, but not bad either.

Kroger brand lemon-lime is killing it for me. When it's cold enough, it's almost exactly like Sprite.

i sold all my beer shit but kept the freezer and co2 bottle and a keg so I can have non stop soda water.

also, for some reason they started stocking lacroix in the fridge at work. i'm normally a plain fizzy water dude but if it's supplied i'll drink the flavored stuff.

Wait is that a thing? Could I have a keg quantity of fizzy water instead of a liter? Do I need a paint shaker because I am definitely not strong enough to do the Cocktail shake with a full pressurized keg?

As long as your pressure is high enough with the CO2, you can totes do the keg + canister in a kegerator for fizzy water.

i just fill 5gal keg with R/O water, put co2 on it and wait a few days for it to carb up. it's no topo chico level of carb but...maybe i should turn my regulator up...

You can get kegerator seltzer to be super duper fizzy. Get the keg really cold before you add co2 I used to use like 20psi to get it setup then down to just maintain and push it through the tap.

We use a SodaStream and, except for that Pepsi Bubly stuff I posted about, haven't bought canned sparkling water in a long while.

Wasn't there something weird about soda stream that people weren't cool about supporting them? I vaguely remember something about it but am too lazy to look it up. It's still probably the best option for people that don't already have beer brewing equipment or take their non plebe water that seriously

We have a siphon which is great for 1-2 people making casual cocktails but not enough volume for serving seltzer for a dinner. Even supplementing with the non-siphons bottle runs out quickly for 4+ people. So yeah having even 10 L on tap would be nice.

A SodaStream will fit a 12 oz paintball canister with an adapter. Or you can get a keg regulator that runs off paintball cans.

Right now, I use around 24 oz of CO2 a month on fizzy water, which works out to something like $7/mo for me. I could bring that down more if I bought bigger CO2 tanks.
