La Croix (and knockoffs) Review Thread

I'm pretty sure they just melted these and took away the sugar:

UPDATE 3/25/2016

This tastes like lime alka seltzer butt, do not drink.

It tastes like lime scented cleaning product if you were allowed to drink lime scented cleaning product.

UPDATE 4/4/2016

Easily my favorite so far. Combining a lot of the sweeter hints of cucumber and blackberry makes for dopeness in my mouth. It tastes like that thing you need when you don't wanna drink a boring Lime La Croix but you also don't want a sickly sweet soda.

Pairs well with shrimp tacos from Chuy's.

Where do you live that your La Croix are shaped like that? Ours look just like regular old cans.

Wanna hold hands?

<----- We have the regular cans too. This is from the special fancy schmancy Cúrate line of La Croix. They're shaped like this and the regular flavors are regular cans.

I've been looking for the Cúrate since I saw this https://www.facebook.com/xander.redd/videos/1061062690622059/

I think our best bet might be Target?

I'm showing that it's in stock at all of the Targets near me with free store pick up. I usually get mine from HEB (Cúrate) or Amazon Prime Now though.

Also, I misread the title of this thread and thought it said "La Croix Crusade," which should probably be a t-shirt or something.

It's pretty damn good but nothing beats the cool refreshing taste of Bud Light La Croix Lime!

I was hoping to find the cucumber blackberry one or the watermelon kiwi. Those sound dope.

So much for an artisan beverage.
LaCroix is just too expensive for what/how much you get, atmo. The poler stuff is a pretty solid substitute, and usually $1-2 cheaper and actual 12 pack. I mean, I enjoyed the pictured LaCroix, but having to go to Target to get it, and then the 8-pack business lessened my desire to repeat the purchase.

how much does it cost there?

here its like $5.99 for the 12 pack and i think i paid $3.99 for the 8-pack of the artisanal line (though it might have been on sale). 50 cents a can seems reasonable to me.

A little over 4 for the 8-pack.
Other stuffs is usually 12-pack for $3. It is one of those things that isn't a lot of money, but still feels like it is too much.

At work, we have an unlimited supply of Talking Rain, which is a poor substitute, but is local. The peach tastes like ass, but the lemon is sufficient.

Bought a box of La Kroix (Kroger's seltzer). Not bad, but only options are unflavored or lemon/lime.

If you have time and mechanical ability, check out the DIY option.

There are also adapters that will make a SodaStream accept 20oz painball canisters.

This is my struggle also. Coke, Diet Coke, several flavours of heavily sweetened tea and juice, but no plain seltzer even though it also comes in cases from Costco.

I do sodastream with 16oz paintball tank that I refill at Dicks for $3 a pop, maybe once a month. Adaptor was ~$30, I think. Maybe less.
I've done lime and lemons, but it is hard to beat the flavors that come in cans/bottles.

When I was brewing beer often I used to always have 5 gallons of beer on tap and 5 gallons of sparkly water. Was never able to get the flavors down but you can get it so much more carbonated than you can in a can when it's always hooked up to co2 and the keg is ice cold
