These guys:

I got them during a cold snap a few months back. I was skeptical having owned a few pieces of truly shitty PI gear, but so far these have been pretty great. They have just the right amount of stretch to them, and while they are not "warm" they do a a nice job blocking the wind. They fit easily over Shimano cleats, and stay out of the way when walking. So far they have held up well, and they look way more PRO than some of older neoprene-type bootie designs.

Conditions around here don't really warrant "winter" cycling shoes, and for under 50 bucks these have made road rides significantly more enjoyable. I think the only significant improvement would be a little more stretch around the ankle, but it might just be that I have fairly skinny ankles for a guy who wears size 48 cycling shoes.

I've got a bunch of PI Pro series stuff since the team is sponsored by them. It's all been fantastic.

Would not recommend. They are designed to work with road shoes.
