Blue Norcross SP frameset

Ordered the frame set from Nashbar using my Performance Bike employee discount for a wallet friendly 300 dollars shipped. Frameset came in and general finish quality was very nice, except for the fact that the paint was so thick that I had to sand down the area for the seat post clamp and chase the bore in which the brake spring falls into.

Built it up using 6700 Ultegra bits sans shifters and a pair of the Wheels Manufacturing BB30 adapters. So far, so good.

Ride review: First ride from the shop to my house, which is no more than 3 miles, the headset bearings settled to the point where I didn't feel comfortable riding it the last mile or so. I had forgotten my multitool at home.

Took it out today for a real first ride. First impressions were: A) Holy fuck, this fork is awesome. So stiff yet so smooth over the choppy stuff and B) Holy fuck, I need a carpet fibre seat post ASAP. The frame is STIFF. Stiff in a very good way as every little power input is immediately felt as you are propelled forward but definitely lets you know that there are beefy aluminum downtube and stays holding you up . Steering is quick yet confident. Very stable.

Anyways, if you're looking for a good frame a great price, you should check it out. I think Nashbar has them on sale for 375 with an addition 20% off right now, which puts you at roughly employee discount pricing.
