FWIW I’ve installed hundreds or thousands of disc brakes using Felco-styled cutters, with absolutely no issues.

I kind of figured that if you used a nice smooth rotational cut, whilst gently rocking the cutters back and forth, that you'd be totally fine.

I msg'd braden on here about that, he said that they'll all ship together, and that the software the online store uses makes it pretty easy for him to know what goes with what bike

still waiting on my confirmation :|

About to get the final parts I need to build up my OGD....from batch one. Moving, new job, new city, and selling off a bunch of stuff to cover moving expenses means that it almost got sold. But I held on to it, the first new frame I've had since 2004 (which was EP when I worked at a shop). Very excite.

What are the things I need to watch for from V1? Possible reaming of seat tube, and having some brake caliper adapter shims (thin washers) on hand is what I recall from the build reports. Anything else?

But honestly, I have no idea how I am going to follow through on that plan and I already have a pretty rad bike. I think I just like fucking with my bikes.

Had a brief e-mail exchange with him recently and he did say that everything was set aside and ready waiting for the frames. Figuring I'll just be patient and not bug him with more questions.

Cool.
I bugged them a bit.
Im just excited.
I have a 4 day weekend. I should be able to get a lot of it together.

DQ:
would the blackburn outpost rack work with a basket on top of it?
Are they crap anyway?

I had the rear one and I didn't like it very much.

Installing the Blackburn Outpost rack was one of the most frustrating experiences that I can recall. Despite bending and swearing I could not get it aligned properly.

I have a basket for now to get it going, but I want to tour this summer and Im wondering what the best cost/effectiveness option is to run a basket and panniers up front.. Buying a 250 porter rack and a 100 dollar lowrider seems like too much money... Would the specialized pizza rack work?

To get the basket to sit a little better I took the upper rack portion off and stuck the rear rampy part in a vise and bent it back to flatten it a little
Instal isn’t too bad if you’re a little patient. Just get it mounted at the drop outs and place the upper struts accordingly

We got about half the frames out today.
A few more that are having headsets installed should make it out tomrrow.
After that, the remaining small parts orders and racks ship.

I'm pretty happy that I have a safeway/fedex drop literally on my block.

Redirected the frame to the grocery store so I don't have to stress out about signing on it.

Braden did you install a headset onto my frame or no?

I was able to run 38 triggers on a v1 with a cx70 pusher. 35s are a solid bet, though.

V2’s were tighter. Stays weren’t crimped. I crimped mine myself because it was wayyyyyy to close with actual 35

I’m running a 35 with ample room.

You’ll run into the derailleur or clamp before the stays.

Yes!

We’re finalizing spring production schedule now.

There will be 20 Hunter Gatherer frames available and 5+ Coffee Grinders.

Watching FedEx tracking is agonizing. It's in Bakersfield, CA today but the estimated delivery date is Monday. Why will it take 4 days to go from Bakersfield to San Francisco?

Life is hard.
