so I went into teh LBS today cos got paid and finally cracked and decided to get Sugino 46-36-26 triple. Saw 'em on Amazon for like $99, figured they'd hook it up for close to that. Looked in the QBP book at cost price.... holy shit! I was like 'damn these are expensive'

owner: hmmm you're looking for a triple?
me: yeah
owner: I might have one...
me: I've looked through the box, I could look through again
owner: I have another secret box
me: ?
owner: stuff I was gonna ebay, but it's been sitting there for 5 years
me:!!!

anyway, I got a shiny XT m730 crankset with 42-36-24 for $15, and I owe him some beer!

also the same co-op that sold that had two nice seatposts in a display case -- a thomson elite for 75... and a fucking moots layback post for 30. not sure why one was 20% off retail, the other 90% off, but who knows. (i didn't get either)

Dude ... you just think you're the stuff don't you? Cussing left and right and trying to be soo damn cool. Well you're not. In this instance you are TOTALLY full of crap. I know when I bought it and Tim Neenan has confirmed its an original. I also own a 3Rensho Katana I purchased in 1984.

To stoop to your low degrading level of conversing here ... STFU You now have zero credibility as far as I'm concerned. As Jerry Garcia sang, "Please don't dominate the rap jack, if you got nothing new to say."

just had to bring this back to confirm...no sequioa were made by yoshi konno.

This is correct. Sequia frame were never made by San Rensho. I cannot
remember who did make them, but not likely Miyata. I know they did the
Expedition bikes. I am pretty sure no Specialized bike were National, not on
my watch anyway.

not bike related, but i got a yamaha yst-sw90 for 20 bucks. the dustcap was dented, which was affecting the voice coil a bit and making a slight crackle (didn't care, was just going to leave it in the living room where i figured it might get fucked up anyways when people come over.

anyways, decided to punch a small hole in the dust cover with a pin and pull it out with the smallest allen wrench i had, success, the crackle is gone and this sub kicks ass. just covered the hole with a bit of glue, should be good.

It has a Piaggio sticker on the seat tube and it 022 tubing. Also it came with Suntour shifter. The lower fork and seat stays/ chain stays are chrome as well. When did they start making the Volpe?

Leave them on the street. They are the worst shifting piles of crap you can imagine. Typical OEM/Truvativ garbage. The only way they could be worse is if FSA made them.

Cross-post from the picture thread.

New track bike, which I picked up from a customer. It's a better fit than the venerable LeMond (51x51), so the LeMond should be on the auction block again soon. The parts are all Gimmieme, so nothing to write home about, but with Cinelli Pista stem and bars. I paid $250 for the thing.
