Fred Your Dead

sometimes i want to post in the audax thread on topics of lights and bags and braze-ons and the like, but i realize i don't really belong there.
i'm a commuter/recreational cyclist, always have been, always will be.
i wear spandex with hairy legs, i've strapped my light to my helmet on occasion.
this is for all things fred.

They'd be confused by all the rando and think we are a bunch of long ballers.

This place has some odd policies. Another one is no "beach-style" flip flops allowed, but "other types" of flip-flops are okay. What does that even mean?

This is what my bikes are going to look like when I'm 75.

The freddest thing I do (what I catch shit for all the time) is ride with BMX pedals. But fuck it. I like them and I still have pretty alright spin.

Oh and also bullmoose bars higher than my saddle. The guys at the roadie shop downtown (Spokesman) give me weird looks every time I walk in with the Stumpjumper.

i have a carradice camper longflap that i got from wiggle for $70 shipped. wiggle has the lock-down on carradice bags and tubus racks. this bag is huge, and probably the best stepping stone from messbag to pannier.
the bike feels great with the weight, but it's a riv.

you are now entering the truth zone

also, you get used to pannier-weight real quick. i normally go to class with one-sided pannier attack, with about 1000 pages of textbooks plus a krypto and other detritus. you get used to balancing in no time, but shit can squirrel madstyle when you're doing legit climbs
