I've talked to several ex-pro-cyclists, due to having a good friend who's a RMT who deals with mostly athletes. Every single one of them have said to me that at least 90% of the pro peloton is doping in some fashion, themselves included.

lance probably doesn't dope because i mean that guy get's tested sooooo much, or if he does, well grats for being so good at it

nova cycle sport foundation is not related to nova cycle. i know because that is my team and it is colloquially known as ISCorp.

also that is the matt busche who went from iscorp to kelly benefits to radioshack in a few months.

Note that Clinger is the third person busted from Rock Racing in a year's time.

What should be expected of them when ~50%+ of the team had been caught or implicated in doping in the past.

I know they didnt get their UCI license this year, but I really don't pay enough attention to know if theyre no longer a team. Not really surprising..

Just looked up their wiki page and lolled:

Quote:
Although they planned to seek UCI Continental registration under a Mexican license, and signed Floyd Landis to their roster.[4] On 3 March 2010 it was announced that Rock Racing would not be awarded a professional licence of any form and as a result would race as an amateur team in the 2010 season: Landis had a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the team in the case of their not being granted professional status.[

Looks like I'm late to the party. "Shut up legs"; I love Voigt's positive attitude. From 2009:

Speaking of the Catalonia, it sucks that both tomorrow's stage (Ascó → Cabacés) and Saturday's (El Vendrell → Barcelona) are both hilly. I want to see Cavendish win again. Hopefully that'll happen Sunday (EsportParc → Circuit de Catalunya).

26-Mar-2010: Davide Malacarne (ITA-Quick Step) won the fifth stage of the Tour of Cataluñya after being out on a breakaway for virtually the entire race. He first escaped as part of a four-man group and then again with twenty kilometres he escaped and soloed his way to victory. The other three were caught by the peloton shortly before the finish line. Andreas Klöden (GER-Astana) and Luis Leon Sanchez (ESP-Caisse d'Epargne) finished second and third. Joaquin Rodriguez (ESP-Katusha) defended his overall lead while Cervélo’s Xavier Tondo (ESP) finished fourteenth, protecting his second place GC standing.

“We knew today would be a difficult one, not so much because of the mountains but more so because of the twisty roads which made it hard to control the stage,” said Alex Sans Vega, sports director. “The entire race it was up and down and at the end of the day this kind of a stage hurts more than the hard mountain stages. Right from the beginning of the race there were four guys ahead. Davide Malacarne (ITA-Quick Step), Javier Ramirez (ESP-Andalucia-Caja Sur), Andres Sergio de Lis (ESP-Euskaltel-Euskadi) and Gustavo Cesar Veloso (ESP-Xacobeo-Galicia) though none of them were dangerous to the GC. Of course it was ok for us, because leader Rodriquez’s Team Katusha was controlling the race.

Today, the same as yesterday our primary mission was to protect Xavier Tondo, help him during the day and then bring him into a good position for the final. On the last climb Liquigas set a hard tempo splitting the peloton into different groups, however Malacarne, from the original breakaway made it to the finish and won the stage. All the favourites were in the group behind him, including Xavier, who was perfectly protected by Indigo Costa. Sanchez tried to attack to endanger the GC and while he did take some seconds he was not able to make it. Tomorrow nothing will happen in the GC and I think the same can be said for Sunday with the race ending in a sprint.”

Stage 5: Ascó - Cabacés, 181.2 km
1. Davide Malacarne (ITA) Quick Step
2. Andreas Kloden (GER) Team RadioShack
3. Luis León Sánchez (ESP) Caisse d'Epgarne
14. Xavier Tondo (ESP) Cervélo TestTeam

General classification after stage 5

1. Joaquim Rodríguez (ESP) Team Katusha

@dmoto: Cancellara's stage win was great to watch. He accelerated and there was no response from Boonen or Flecha.

Hushovd has the stomach flu and Andreas Klier crashed out. Diagnosis is a concussion. :-/

The Criterium International was boring. Tomorrow it's a 75km stage and a TT on the same day. Never seen anything remotely similar. Can't wait to see Alberto bring out the big guns. Evans' hopefully will unleash the monster so it'll be exciting to see them go head to head. Armstrong is basically a non-factor at this point... or so he says.
