I can probably put you two up for Saturday night. Toastycat set a good precedent for internet strangers from Portland staying at my apartment.

Let me know.

NWFF's doing a bike-in movie tomorrow evening at Cal Anderson. It starts at 5 with music and hanging out, then later in the evening (9 it looks like?) they're showing short bike films and Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

I am going to sign p for this

If anyone elles is interested in doing this ride it benefits urban farming! $10 registration fee and a $60 minimum fundraising total due march first. The ride is basically a Lake Washington loop with a limit of 100 riders.

Could be fun. I would feel a bit silly asking people for money for this though.

Speaking of rides, scrub posted this ride in the cyclocross thread. The date for actually doing it is still up in the air, but (very) tentatively Saturday 12/11.

I figure I will just make the "donation" myself instead of fundraising. I could be in the scrub ride however, I wont know my schedule for a few days and weekends are hit or miss. On an unrelated note ... beers I can do most nights.

Who can do beers when? I know the holidays will be taking up a lot of time so if it has to wait it waits. BUT I want to host a small beer tasting of sorts, kind of a potluck for beers and or food. Let me know if ay of you are interested. I am saving a 6er of each of my first 2 batches of BH to share if we can get something together in the relatively near future. However this saving beer thing wont last long.

i think i called the cops on a rape/solicitation thing on my way down dexter the other night. in seriously one minute there were eight cars. it was kind of crazy. dude's story was that his "daughters" were "having a fight" but the screams i heard were more of the serial rape/murder victim variety. i split as soon as the cop got my info and told me they had what they needed.

this place scares me sometimes.

Cross track road it's all good. Cept Tarck. Tarck sucks.

Tomorrow we're going to go caroling by bike, it should be quite noob-friendly

Meet between 7 and 7:30 in the triangle south of Westlake Center; ride bikes, drink, and debauch.

If you sign up for the forums, you're permitted only one post before you ride with us (and one post per mile after that).

I'm going to swing by early on. I need a bunch of parts, wheels, and such that I could probably find there, but my brokeness significantly overshadows my bike needs, so I'm just aiming for picking up a few small things like a longer quill, wider drops, and possibly compact cranks for bianchi and maybe some townie bars for the LHT.

Gonna be 'fun' pulling a trailer down there at the crack of dawn.

I did this today, it was pretty awesome. I really needed some alone time and its my birthday and it was beautiful out! It was a bunch of fun with a nice variety of gravel/dirt/open/trees. There was one steep and fast downhill that I was giggling like a maniac on.

Need to do this again with a small group.

What time are you thinking about going, scrub? A friend and I are talking about riding the thrilla early on saturday (like on the trail by 8:45 or 9). I've got a ticket to the sounders game at 1, so I've gotta be back home by noon or so to clean up.

Bringing this Bainbridge cross ride to its rightful place in this thread.

Working as a temp receptionist at an office gives me lots of time to do stuff like research trails on Bainbridge and link them together into one big loop. This is all pretty rough and needs to be explored still. It'll no doubt change after a little exploratory mission to the island. But, as it stands, it's about 20 miles, 1500 feet of climbing (though that's probably way off since it's Bike Route Toasters elevation guess for off road terrain). Maybe 60% on road, 40% off (wild guess. I didn't pay that much attention while mapping it).

Now we just need some dry weather and a whole free afternoon to go get lost.

Ride bikes. Get lost. Wait for the ferry at Blackbird Bakery. Sounds like a good day to me.

Cool. I may take my Bruce Gordon in to Charles this week to see if he can fix the seat tube. Dumbass previous owner was using too small a post. Small enough that the seat lug is pinched smiley Was hoping to make this my trailer hauling bike (coz triple), but I could throw some cross tires on for laughs in the meantime.
