This is what I figured but I thought you two MIGHT have somewhat unusual schedules. I have been riding with a guy from work but he is totally full carbon, full kit, team rider kind of guy. but it is cool! also he grew up here and really know the area.

I know this is silly, but all these spring classics have me excited and I want to map out a ride hitting as many of Seattle's cobblestone streets as I can.

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head/confirmed on StreetView:

-Warren ave between Aloha and Ward
-1st ave N also between Aloha and Ward
-Lenora between Western and 1st (as well as most of the streets to the immediate north and south of Lenora on those same blocks)
-Post Ave
-Louisa Street between Eastlake and Boylston
-Ward, Aloha, Valley, Roy, and Mercer between 24th and 23rd streets

Any other good ones?

The other half of the duplex I live in is going to be available to rent. I THINK it is a 2 BR and has a garage, yard dogs allowed probably renting around $1300 . let me know if you know someone who wants to live in frellard AKA freeball.

Nope. Too small for me. Those La Raza frames are nice though - True Temper OX Platinum.

Also, drivetrain is Red/Force, not Red/Rival (has Rival Brakes though).

Scrub, you mentioned in another thread that you did a 3 hour gravel climb up snoqualmie. What was your route/what roads (logging roads maybe?) were you on.

It sounds like a great ride and I'd like to make it up there some weekend.

Not so much a climb but it was uphill! It was just on the Iron Horse trail from Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, I really enjoyed it. There are definitely logging roads that bisect plus some dirt trails off the main trail.
I really liked looking down on I-90 but could have done without hearing the traffic. The trail is wide but has enough turns that its not boring and since it was a Friday during the day and threatening rain I didn't really see many people.

Would ride again!

So my 40th birthday is coming up and I am thinking BEERS. Most of the people I know (or know and like) are on here so ....

Potluck and or beers on the Saturday the 17th? We could do a family friendly potluck at my place in Frelard. I could also be persuaded to go out for a few, but I want to make sure those with the wee bears are not excluded.

Really good deal actually: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/1701510747.html

Given that the frameset alone usually goes for $1700ish, $2500 for a complete with Red and carbon FSAs is cheap. Somebody get super blingy with this.

I'd be down to kick it sometime. Not sure when though.

Also, I have first dibs on a complete Ultegra 6500 group. Only problem is I'm at UW and the guy's at the University of Puget Sound. I'd be happy to set this deal up for someone who can make it down there.

We were southbound on the bridge on the Terminal 91 bike path. He took the turn at the top a little too wide and ended up right against the fence. I think he had his right hand on the fence and the left on the front brake lever. He did manage to turn away from the fence, but then he was turning too sharply towards the fence on the opposite side and headed downhill still pretty off balance. Braked to try to correct and went over.

...At least that's my interpretation.

that about sums it up, he had a better angle of it then I did .... The only things I would add would be that I took the turn a bit to fast hence taking it too wide and, I had never been on the bridge before and totally miss read the whole thing .... totally my fought but all is well
