that funky stem allows you to change the length and angle of the stem.

or it allows you to get your handlebars around corners and through tight bends.

not sure exactly...

Is that a stoker stem? That's the only way I can imagine that being used.

I've never seen one in real life, but I've often wondered what the application would be. Same as the Ergostem I guess, but I wouldn't trust it as much.

The Ergo stem was a great way to get every size world cup track athlete on a 4-size $10,000 frame.

True I guess. Considering that ergostems weigh like 3lb, this could be a suitable choice. I'm assuming that they are actually lighter than 3lb.

I agree with her "accidental nerding out" policy, however I must strongly disagree with her "being bored in math class" policy.

Also, would be way less ridiculous if they could make up their minds between buckle and laces instead of having both. If they actually took a classic design and stuck a cleat on the bottom it would be way better than this mish mash.

fuck those shoes are gross. (the first pair)

The Mission Workshop shoes would be ok with a less chunky sole. I must say I've never seen an "urban" spd shoe that wasn't a bit off (except arguably those special edition Olympic bmx dunks).

^truth

I remember trying to find those Beijing Olympics bmx spds and giving up real fucking quick once I realized how much sneaker fetishists can drive up prices. I wonder if any of those jams actually got worn other than the ones given to the sponsored athletes…

My Vittoria 1976 shoes were pretty great, though they're a little fucked up now from running on burning pallets — the inner plastic tape layer that gives structure to the toe cap is semi-shriveled in the right shoe, it's mostly just annoying cause my toes poke at it a bit.

If you want to see some unstoppably smiley leather SPD shoes, check this out: http://www.quocpham.com/products/index.html
