bward got his Spicer stolen. If someone can't recognize that bike, they are blind.

Thu, 07/30/2009 - 21:46

I'm surprised and bummed that Spicer hasn't turned up- I feel like it would have to have left the city.

My IRO just got stolen right out of my girlfriend's aunt's front yard - stolen from Livonia, MI. Here's the most recent picture I have of it. The only differences are that the chain ring, seat post, and stem are all black and the saddle is a fizik pave, and the bullhorns are origin 8 models with black bar tape.

The newer version of the bike also has the tarck bear sticker on the seat tube and two of the urban velo "ride a fucking bike" stickers covering the IRO stickers on the down tube.

Please let me know if you see it anywhere. My email is

08 Redline 925. Red and cream. Brooks B17 saddle. Natural Cork bar tape. Cateye Enduro 8 Computer.

Sun, 08/30/2009 - 10:19

EDIT: Bike recovered. Found it locked up while walking home, cops wouldn't help b/c I didn't have a serial number, so I ended up liberating it myself.
Write down your serial number now.

Haha I called the cops on some dude who was trying to sell a brand new electra to my shop that sells electras. So I was like "hmm that's fishy", 3 minutes later, two cops came in so I figured what the hell and sent them after him. Then he came back and fuckin yelled at me for like 5 minutes.

It may also be helpful if you identify how the bike was stolen if you know? Like clipped U-lock through rear wheel etc. That way others in the city can get a leg up on what the thieves are doing.

Fri, 10/02/2009 - 15:23

I don't know that this bike is stolen, but it sure is fishy, so I figured I'd post it. Seems to me most peeps selling a $1k+ bike know the name and take pics.

Hey everyone my cranks were stolen today while I was in class.
Black Sugino RD 170mm Cranks
Black 44t Messenger Chainring
Toshi Double Straps in grey
MKS GR9 Pedals
Soma Double quad Gate clips in PINK size L

Old pic and setup, but cranks pedals etc. were the same

The guy made a pretty good sweep of my campus today, I know my friends Black IRO was taken awhile before mine as well as my roommates Nitto Track drops today. Any help would really be great, I don't have the money to get this back on the road any time soon.

My brother had his 59 cm 2007 Bianchi Fremont stolen at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN last night. He had it locked up with a cable, which was cut with cable cutters. If you can help us out in any way just give me a pm.

EDIT: I think this thread should be stickied.

My friend is super bummed that her Transition Double got ripped off last week in Santa Cruz and she has a suspicion that it will turn up somewhere in the bay area.

This is an old photo, but I don't know how many blue Transition Doubles will be just floating around...frame and fork are still the same, I honestly don't know what else has changed, as I haven't seen the bike in quite some time.

She's really torn up about this and is a serious fucking gnarshredder who needs her bike back.

My bike was stolen yesterday while I was laid up with a migraine. Stolen from SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. It's a Trek 620 (1983 or 1984) in pewter grey. Vintage frame with mostly newer parts. Nothing all that fancy, but it was my only bike, and I loved it.

Please keep your eyes open for it. Here's an old pic (brake levers are different, and it now has bar-end shifters and no rack).

Cross post from Kevin Mansker of Project London fame:

Alright guys, need help with this. All 3 of my teammates bike were stolen last night out of his garage. All three are Felts: One TK1, one FC built up with full sram rival, and a a white Dispatch. I dont figure they will end up in PDX, but if you see any of these on craigslist/ebay ect, please for the love of god let me know. If anyone can cross-post this to sffix too, that would be awesome.

As a note, the TK1 has the brand new (less than 24hour old) UCI legal fork. Its all black, and doesnt look anything like the stock fork. There is only 7 of these forks out right now, so if you see one for sale, its his. Same thing with the FC road bike. Technically, they sell that frame, but its the one they give all the non-road sponsored athletes. It's a F1 with a metal bb shell instead of carbon.

Please keep an eye and an ear out for these

They are Jimmy Watkins bikes, stolen from Bakersfield, CA.
