I don't believe you. The new website shows each different bike as each different bike, not one bike for all. Or maybe I don't know what you're talking about.

well thats what tony at iro told me. he modeled the mark v's and angus' off my bike. its pretty obvious that he didn't do the rob roy or the mtb off mine tho. im sure alot of guys have dealt with tony and know that he's a nice guy so im pretty sure he wouldn't bullshit me like that.

my bike was used as a template for all the other bikes with the same frame style (mark v and im sure that they used it for the angus also.) if u dont believe me then call up tony and ask him

Once again, if Leader sold plain black frames, I'd probably own one already.

yea. satin black.
it involved sanding all the leader decals off. as previously stated they are under the clearcoat. i also had to file off the cable stops.
it would be a rad frame if they sold it for like $20 less without a paint job, waterbottle mounts, and cable stops.

I knew the ol' tank had to make an appearance eventually. Good stuff, that bike.

I noticed you're rocking a Brooks B17 with your bars significantly below seat level. I'm thinking of doing this as I have wider sit-bones than the more race-oriented saddles would allow, but all the publicity and many BF posts claim the B17's made for more upright riding. Do you find this setup to work decently for more aggressive riding?

Thanks. It's actually the B17 Imperial (the ones that Brooks wanted several people to try out). I have found that the hole make a BIG difference in allowing a high saddle to bar drop without any discomfort (I have the regular B17 as well and this wasn't possible). It just as comfy as a Brooks Pro with this set up. I did 60miles on it yesterday and not a spec of discomfort.

I still have my Imperial in the closet , and it's going to sit there until one of my buddies tries to buy it off me or hell freezes over. There is absolutely zero chance I would put a Brooks on any of my bikes.

Is it because of looks? cuz it sounds like you've never given it a chance. By giving it a chance I mean going through the break-in period not the whole "after 100 miles it still hasn't gotten comfortable." If it is because of looks then that's dumb because saddle comfort is the 2nd most important part of a bike next to fit (Not saying a Brooks would work with you).

It's an aesthetic choice. I actually bought myself a Team Pro before I went to Europe because I thought my unpadded saddle would not be up to the light touring/long day rides I was going to be doing out there. But as I started pushing up my rides to 50 miles plus, in prep. for the trip, I never had any issues with pain or numbness and saw no reason to switch and try and break-in something new. I did three months out there and the only time I'd end up saddle sore was when it would rain straight through my jeans and I'd have wet cotton undies rubbing on my junk (I've only now discovered the joy that is padded cycling shorts).

I agree with function before fashion, but if I have two options that work for me I'll choose the aesthetically pleasing one every time.

ahhh I see. It's understandable though because there are saddles that look WAY better than a Brooks though. I like those razor looking saddles but won't think about "cheating" just for the look :)
