Got some rollers, put the bike on the rollers and rode them until my junk went numb which scared the hell out of me. Can people actually ride rollers for more than an hour?

An hour is pushing it. We did a whole thread on this not too long ago.

This weather has had me doing some less than exciting riding. I have a trainer and rollers, so I have been doing 10 minutes on the rollers at high RPM then 5 minute intervals of high resistance on the trainer. 5 sets of that first thing in the morning definitely gets the sweat pouring, even when it's 45* in my apartment.

I ride for at least an hour on my trainer every other day (at least when it's still cold out). The old saddle would make my junk numb every 15 minutes or so, but I recently acquired a fizik arione and it hasn't made my junk numb for 1+ hour training sessions.

I am a fearless, macho redneck from the dirty south with way too much disregard for my own well-being and safety. With that in mind, I felt genuine fear the first time my junk ever went numb on a bicycle. Seriously, I panicked a bit.

Look on the bright side. You could be riding in the ToC.

I rode 8 or so miles to the doctor's office in a torrential fucking downpour. At one point I just started laughing maniacally at the absurdity of it all.

Swapped out my tweaked rear Alex wheel for a loaner from a friend until I get my new wheels built.

Now I can ride without feeling like my rear wheel is going to fall off.

i did that the other day in the middle of a road. someone in a car stopped in the oncoming lane to ask me for directions, so i figured i'd be cool and do a trackstand while directing them. i got about to the point where i had to gesture with my hands and just fell straight off the bike, almost under the car

Oh my god, I just got the greatest visual of that. Were they laughing? If it had been me that fell, I would have been laughing like a hyena at myself.

ahahha that is so good. i was in the bike lane and had just overtaken a middle aged lady riding a scooter, feeling all good about myself, and proceeded to eat shit.

yesterday i refilled my bottle from the cooler at work, but failed completely to secure the lid. fast forward about ten minutes and i breeze past some cars stopped at a light, it goes green and i hammer through in front of them. i felt it was a perfect time for a triumphant tour-de-france style drink, raised the bottle above my head and squeezed, and got 750mLs in the face.

Rode about a triple tarck century getting to the places I needed to throughout the day and wished I had my camera to capture the image of a 60ish year old man on an 80s mountain bike pulling a gigantic cabinet on a homemade trailer. Also came the closest I ever have to plowing a pedestrian who clearly made eye contact with me when she was on the curb and I had the green light, yet still inexplicably waltzed right out in front of me. Thankfully I had my weight back when I slammed on the brakes and nobody died.

Tarck, where a "long ride" starts at mile 11. A century is a long ride, thus a tarck century is 11 miles. If my math works out right, a tarck randonee would be 82 miles, but you'd have 90 hours to complete it. I imagine there would be beer involved.

rode on my ADB-X's for some reason. i couldn't even do half a tarck century on them. i sat in class all day worrying if they were going to get jacked.

switched back to a ksyrium equipe front wheel, since arrospok is being fixed. luckily arrospok is close to home so i dropped it off in person. cool people at the shop. bike is hella light and responsive now.

Nothing yet, today. Yesterday I rode ~20 miles with 1500' of elevation gain and grades up to 10%. It was awesome. Hit 43mph on the descent before I got scared and hit the brakes:

I spent quite a bit of time over 30mph yesterday, I think it might be time to buy a helmet.

I'd love to ride uphill for like a half an hour.
The longest hill I've ever ridden up was in wisconsin and was only a mile long.
