I went back home yesterday, completely disassembled it last night(except for the bottom headset race), sanded off the clearcoat. Today I primed, painted and cleared my bike a nice Burgundy. It goes nice with the bronze veeps. I cant get any photos as my camera isn't here and my phone is dead and I left my charger back at school.

This morning I repacked the front hub on Kevin's Fuji.
It's loose ball and he's aparently been riding it all loose for who knows how long.
the cone is fucked.
Then I rode with him to his parents' house and left him there and met up with my buddy Zack and we went for a 30 mile ride to hide park and back along the sodden Lakefront Trail.
We got fucking filthy:

We went to the crazy science lab where he works:

Then we rode around the shockingly empty down town.
I've never seen Clark street right outside City Hall so completely vacant of traffic in my life:

Then Zach went home and I went to my friend Carlin's place to try and help fix up her surprising stable of reprehensible, but somehow awesome, garbage bikes. Carlin's bikes, like Carlin herself, have a simple honesty.

BTW: it was 65* and sunny today.
What the fuck is going on?!?

I finally re-geared my Redline and ditched the cassette. Now running 48x20. Pretty low, but considering I live at the top of a long ass hill now I like it. I may slap a 53 ring on eventually and install skinnier tires and fenders.

Looked at it in the garage. I just got glasses today for the first time in my life, so I'm still getting used to them, and I was afraid to ride in them.

But I'll tell you what, now that I can actually see totally clearly, my bike is more beautiful than ever. It's amazing how much detail you miss when you can't actually see as good as you think you can.

Mounted one of these:

...and moved my computer and light to it. It looks lame and kinda is, but now my light will work better and I have some free space on my bars. Then I went for a 15 mile ride with the girl.

Nah, she took it to the shop because she was hit by a car and wanted to make sure it was safe to ride. Crooked bars is all that was wrong.
